I have no problem with the soft reworks, that change one maybe two abilities, but great examples are Urgot and Galio, they literally have a tiny bit of the flavor of the original champion designs, but are in essence, completely new champs. May as well just make a new champ at that point and leave the old one alone.
Galio still has a large aoe taunt, a magic shield, is typically picked against magic damage heavy teams, with the poke element of his Q staying relatively the same.Urgot still uses his Q to slow/shred armor and to target his enemies with his cannons (admittedly quite different than his old e). He also still has a shield on his W, can swap places with a champion and still has the suppression.
